Revlon Lip Butters

I have wanted to try these for ages but my local Boots is not the best and they are normally all sold out of the best shades. After a few weeks of looking they finally had some stock! I was stupidly excited by this.

After about 30 minutes of looking I decided to go for 090 - Sweet Tart & 035 - Candy Apple,

Firstly I have to say that I LOVE the colour range, I would have had them all if I could have afforded it.

I like the fact the packaging matches the colour of the lip butter, I think it makes them stand out from others in my collection and the colour of the packaging matches the product perfectly.

The application was really smooth and didn't dry my lips out at all, they feel almost like lip balms they are so nourishing on your lips. It gives a gloss like finish but without the stickyiness, which is a bonus for me.

The pigmentation is ok not brilliant but they are buildable so this wasn't too much of an issue for me.

I must admit they didn't last long on my lips, a couple of hours at best but to be honest this is common for most lip colours so it hasn't put me off them at all. I just need to get better at retouching my makeup throughout the day.

Overall I did really like these and would recommend them; I will definitely buy more of the shades.

Sweet Tart:
This is a lovely light pink shade, which if perfect for summer and the days when you are looking for a more subtle colour for your lips.

Candy Apple:
I must admit I am a sucker for Red lipstick so this is my favourite, it is a rich red which will be perfect for the Autumn months.

Sorry yet another predictable review praising the Revlon Lip Butters but they are lovely and I do highly recommend them!

What did you think of the lip butters? any tips on how to get lip colour to stay on your lips for longer?

Montagne Jeunesse Face Masks

These masks are my absolute favourite, they are perfect for my sensitive skin.

They do a wide variety for all different skin types, I tend to keep in lots of different types (as you can see from the picture above) and use the one that suits my skin that week.

My skin is extremely sensitive and changeable but these do not cause any irritation at all and are definitely my go-to masks. I tend to use them at least once a week, my favourites are:

Green Tea Peel Off masque & Hot Chocolate Self Heating masque -  both of these deep cleanse your pores and leave your skin feeling really soft.

Do you have a favourite face mask? I am open to any recommendations

L'Oreal Hair Expertise EverPure Intense Mask

Having naturally curly / frizzy hair a decent hair mask is an essential in my hair care routine and this one is amazing!

I suffer from psoriasis on my scalp and neck which is irritated by the ingredients in most shampoos and conditioners. I now stick to sulphate free products and have been using the Naked range for several months, although I am happy with this range I do find that the shampoo's dry my hair (I have used several of their shampoo's and have always had the same results).

I wash and use heat on my hair everyday (I know, I know this is terrible for my hair, but I just can't get used to using dry shampoo...) so as you can imagine my hair is in desperate need of some TLC.

This hair mask is by far the best I have ever used, in the past I have had to make the choice between:
1 - A product that nourishes my hair but irritates my scalp and neck
2 - A product that doesn't cause irritation but also isn't fantastic for my hair.
This product does both, it makes my hair so soft and reduces the dryness but also doesn't cause any irritation.

The smell is lovely it is Rosemary & Mint, this combination is so fresh and doesn't have the artificial smell lots of cosmetics have (these also irritate my skin!)

I have bee using this twice a week, once during the week when I shower in the morning - I leave on for 5-10 minutes and also once during the weekend when I leave it on overnight.

This is currently available at Boots £6.99 for 200ml (LINK) - it is currently on offer for 2 L'Oreal Hair Expertise products for £9.

I have taken advantage of the offer and purchased the Shampoo and Conditioner in the same range, I can't wait to use them - I hope the results are as good as the hair mask.

Holy Grail Mascara!!

After searching far and wide for the perfect mascara I have finally found 2 that work for me.

Firstly I will tell you about my eyelash woes:
My eyelashes aren't terrible but they are really long, too long in fact and also not very thick. Which means they have a tendency to clump really easily and look spidery (I hope everyone knows what I mean by that)

I have brought numerous mascaras over the years only to use them a couple of times and then pass them on to friends because I know I will not use them again. I have finally found 2 that seem t work perfectly for me, they are ...... drumroll .....:

Avon Super Shock - Black £8.50 Link here, (packaging slightly different)
I had this as a birthday present back in February, it has sat in my makeup draw since then to be honest as I wasn't expecting much. I have never really used Avon makeup before but I will definitely be trying more if this is anything to go by.

It has the plastic bristle wand, which works much better for my lashes. It gives instant volume and colour, best off all it doesn't clump!

I tend to use this for everyday when I need to define my lashes but I am not looking for anything too dramatic.

Next up is:

L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Excess £10.99 Link Here
This is currently on offer at Boots - 2 L'Oreal products for £14.

As with the Avon mascara this has a plastic wand, although this has a shaped wand which allows you to reach all of your lashes - even the inner corner.

This give fantastic volume with no clumps, the shape of the wand lends itself to a more dramatic looks I tend to keep this for weekends or evenings when I tend to wear slightly heavier eyeliner.

Have you got any Holy Grail makeup items to share??

Thanks

Rebecca Minkoff Mac Daddy

I totally blame Miss Budget Beauty for this purchase :-)

I saw her you tube video back in January when she had her black Rebecca Minkoff bag and loved it. I have visited The Little Black Book of Style website regularly since then and when I saw the red version I just had to have it!!

I have been on the look out for a new red bag for a while and this was the last one, so it was meant to be! (at least that's what I told my husband when her saw the bank statement).

Firstly I would like to say how good the service is from this website, the bag come within a few days and was really well packaged. It even came with a hand written note, which I thought was a lovely touch.

The bag itself is beautiful!! I must admit I am a bit of a handbag addict, so I don't expect everyone to share my excitement!

On the website the colour looked more of an orangey red which worried me slightly because it was not really to the colour I was looking for, but when it came it was exactly what I had been looking for. It is a lovely deep red which is set off perfectly by the gold handle and studs.

In terms of the size, it is not a huge bag so I will not be using it for an 'everyday' work bag but it is perfect for shopping and you could even probably get away with using it for a night out.
It has 1 big pocket, with a side pocket that fits my iPad and a smaller zip pocket that fits a phone.

The leather is so soft and such good quality, I would say it is on a par with my Marc Jacobs bag (a 30th birthday present from my husband) which was much more expensive.

At £180 I know it is not a bargain purchase, but it does honestly look much more expensive and I have so many compliments on it every time I have worn it.

Its save to say I am really pleased with this, I would highly recommend both the bag and the website.

Mini Escentual Haul

Hi

Like the rest of the world, after seeing Caroline Hirons video with Pixiwoo (Link here for those of you that have not yet seen it) I decided to give me skincare regime a bit of an overhaul.

I will do a full blog on my new skincare regime soon, but for now I wanted to share with you a cheeky order I placed with Escentual.com.

Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner 125ml - £20

Firstly I was looking for an exfoliating toner, my first choice was the Pixi Glow Tonic but I couldn't get hold of it anywhere! I live no where near London and have emailed countless times with no reply, so I gave up.

After scouring the internet (if you haven't already guessed that is how I spend most of my spare time) I decided to go for the Clarins option.
At £20 for 125ml it is quite expensive, but having used it a couple of times I can tell it will last me a while. The added bonus is it smells like holidays!! :-)

Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil 45ml - £21.85

This is a completely new step in my regime, having fairly oily skin I always assumed it would make my skin worse (I now realise I was wrong).

Again it is on the expensive side for me but it comes with a pipette and you only need 4 drops at a time, so I see this lasting me a while. I have been using this for 3 days and I have honestly seen a big difference in my skin already. My skin is much less dehydrated and smoother.

Trilogy Hydrating Mist Toner 100ml - £14.00

I brought this as on her blog Caroline always recommends using 2 toners, and who am I to argue.

I was slightly disappointed in this, I really don't like the smell - It is very floral which is not my taste. Also in terms of performance I feel the other 2 products have made a difference to my skin but I don't feel this product has. I use 3 sprays twice a day and my skins feels no different afterwards, I will perceiver with it and will include my final thoughts when I review this product separately.

I would love to hear what products you use,
